Tata Steel inaugurates fully automated construction service centre in Ludhiana, Punjab
This is Tata Steel’s fourth construction service centre after Cuttack, Ghaziabad and Vijayawada
Ludhiana/Jamshedpur: Tata Steel today inaugurated a fully automated construction service centre in Ludhiana to offer customised reinforcement products and solutions to the construction industry. The centre was inaugurated by Ashish Anupam, Vice President, Long Products, Tata Steel, in the presence of other senior Company officials and channel partner representatives.
The state-of-the-art fully automatic downstream manufacturing facility is spread across 5 acres and has a production capacity of 1500 TPM (tonnes per month). This facility will produce customised Cut & Bend Tata Tiscon TMT rebars, and Bore Pile Cages along with Coupler threading under Tiscon ReadyBuild. The facility will subsequently extend its downstream solutions portfolio to include Welded Wire Mesh, thus establishing itself as a “One-Stop Downstream Construction Service Center”. This facility has been built in collaboration with the Company’s channel partner Krishna Business Associates.
This cutting-edge facility is Tata Steel’s fourth such centre with three others in Cuttack, Ghaziabad aand Vijayawada opened for business recently.

The Company also organised ‘Converse to Construct’ meet of the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) community in Chandigarh. This meet was attended by more than a hundred customers and consultants from the infrastructure, housing, and industrial sectors. The event showcased distinguished industry speakers: Spartaco Pluchinotta from TJK Machinery and Prashanth Kumar Sreram from NICMAR. They delivered thought-provoking presentations on “Latest Construction Technologies Across the World” and “Role of Green Steel in Construction” respectively.
The fully automated service centres are helping in shaping the construction industry and positioning Tata Steel as a knowledge-intensive leader that reiterates the Company’s commitment to innovation and excellence by looking beyond traditional steel production and forging ahead as a comprehensive solution provider for the construction sector. The company plans to have 10 such centres across the country by 2025.
