Jamshedpur, March 6, 2024: A Creche facility, named Muskaan, was inaugurated today by Ruchi Narendran in the presence of Sanjay S Sahani, Executive In Charge of Tubes Division marking a significant milestone for the welfare of workers. It is situated next to General Office Building of Tubes Division.
The inaugural event was also graced by Shailesh Kumar Singh, Deputy President, Tata Workers’ Union (TWU), Satish Kumar Singh, General Secretary, TWU, Preeti S Sahni, senior officials of Tubes Division, Union Committee members, women employees and young parents of Tubes Division.
Spanning over 2400 square feet with a capacity to accommodate 10 children, Muskaan-Creche embodies safety, comfort, and modern design to cater to the needs of children aged 6 months to 10 years. Safety measures include net-covered windows, six air conditioners and a CCTV monitoring system with accessible footage for parents. The creche houses a Sleeping Room for naps and a playroom for learning and games. For nursing mothers, the creche provides a feeding room. Additionally, an isolation room offers a space for unwell children.
The Creche will remain open between 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM (Monday to Saturday). It promises to be a nurturing environment where children can learn, play and grow under the supervision of dedicated caregivers. The crèche will cater to all the employees of Tubes division including both contract and permanent workforce. It is situated next to General Office Building of Tubes Division.
